We caught this beautiful Rufous fantail on one of our trips to Papua New Guinea 🇬🇳 They are mostly found on tiny little islands throughout the region.

Lasiurus cinereus (hoary bat). These guys are my all-time favorite bat species to work with. They’re beautiful, and they’ve got attitude aplenty. They also calm down quite quickly in the hand, so they’re a lot more pleasant to handle than they might appear from the first picture.
