This thylacine footage was recently rediscovered by researchers Gareth Linnard, Branden Holmes and Mike Williams on March 4, 2020.

“I’m wearing items I’ve collected from people I love… my jeans are from my mom’s early 20s, the dress is a gift from a friend and the coat is vintage with updated buttons. I knew I wanted to wear my favorite jewelry from Thingamajig and planned the rest of my outfit around those colors then accessorized on top of that with clips. I always feel like I’m playing dress up rather than just getting dressed. My style is inspired by people who don’t shy away from colors like Piera Gelardi.”

Love these Cupedid beetles (this one is Tenomerga cinerea). One showed up at the light a few weeks ago, and when I brought the camera too close, it played dead and dropped like a rock. Glad I was able to get a redo the other night - this photo is SHARP!
I have never in my life seen a purple grasshopper, but check this guy out!!! He is friend-colored AND friend-shaped
Ohhh!! This is a really cool find. Grasshoppers and katydids especially are prone to a condition called erythrism, which is an unusual reddish pigmentation in animals hair, skin, exoskeleton, etc. - either from the lack of other pigments or an excess of red pigments. Grasshoppers and katydids with this condition usually end up looking pink.
Unfortunately, these dudes donβt often make it to adulthood because they have no camouflage. This one in particular is a nymph, not an adult. Godspeed, lil dude, hope you get to grow up!
It was designed for use in parades rather than for combat. It was made by Konrad Seusenhofer, a leading 16-th century Austrian armorer who worked for Maximilian I, Holy Roman Emperor.
