It’s really insane to me that I’m going to work tomorrow before we’re closed for the indeterminate future… it’s like the 2019 govt shutdown all over again but this time with 200% more crisis
I left work feeling galactically empty but on my way home i filled my heart back up.. I saw tons of spring flowers and I looked under rocks and found these gorgeous mystery eggs (bottom left) and huge slugs, a red-backed salamander, tons of earthworms and centipedes and millipedes, and what i just learned was FIREFLY LARVAE (bottom right). I’m trying to remember that no matter how terrible things are going on a global scale, there are lots of things on the tiny scale that are going quite well and its ok to take pleasure in these things because feeling miserable doesn’t help anyone ! Also i brought some of the eggs inside to see what they hatch into… im thinking slugs :)
Worker solidarity is my coworkers and i are all sitting in our shared office eating our lunches in silence and when all of our office phones ring loudly in sync we silently agree to ignore it together
