Ok now that its opinion hour i do not trust those “thesassyducks” and “the sassy pigs” accounts… where are all these baby farm animals coming from and what happens when these pigs stop being cute or these ducks start shitting inside these houses

Ok im refusing to have birthday gripes bc I genuinely had a lovely time for the first 3/4s of my zoom party but i swear to god facebook has never dealt me such a blow.. 4 hbds from sweet and lovely friends/coworkers 3 from people I don’t really like… i dealt hearts and likes accordingly bc its 2020 people need to know whats up

“In a world where frogs can wield fishing rods, I think it’s time to give moths nets.

There are so many cool looking species it was very difficult to choose which to make. I went with:

Snowball (lazy), based on the white satin moth.

Mort (cranky), based on the death’s head hawk moth.

And Sherbet (snooty), based on the rosy maple moth.”

Was looking through some old photos today and found this lil guy! I always try to make sure and thoroughly google the descriptions of my bug finds before submitting just in case, but for whatever reason I couldn’t find anything matching this one. Do you have any idea what type of caterpillar (?) it might be? Found in AL, US!

I skipped so many submissions to post this because LOOK. A GLOWWORM. Yes, they glow, how exciting. :) Here’s a photo of a similar species glowing:

They’re the larvae of a type of beetle with big bushy antennae that I can’t find a creative commons photo of to share but the species is Phengodes laticollis if you want to google the adult. These dudes eat millipedes, sometimes much larger than themselves, which is wild. Here’s a photo:

Talk about having eyes bigger than your stomach. What a legend. Thanks so much for sharing! What a treat.

Sorry I’m not like other girls… I’m taking weeds from mystery islands and bringing them back to plant in my carefully cultivated wildflower meadow..
