Hi! I’m sure a lot of you know this but I’m a non binary crafts person of color. I run a business called warclad, making medieval and fantasy gear. I’m self taught and spend my time studying old techniques. I’m currently teaching myself to work steel. With how things are times are hard and I can use all the help I can get to keep doing the work I love. If you like what you see consider following me on

Tumblr

Twitter

and Instagram

If you like my work you can get your hands on it over on Etsy, or you can support me on Patreon. I’m really hoping to get into making tutorials and testing out my work.

Please consider rebloging this, and if you can, add on other poc’s and lgbt individuals involved in craft work as we can use all the boosting we can get these days.

did anybody else read the Alex Rider books in elementary school? like does anyone remember that shit? i just looked up the plot summary for the first book and the main antagonist is putting a “computer virus” in thousands of laptops that end up being a literal virus. like they go to the laptop factory and he is filling the laptops with juice that gives you a deadly virus.

I liked reading series out of order in school so I started with like, book 6, which ends with him getting shot in the chest, so i never read any more cause like I know how it ends that’s so anti-climactic i don’t wanna get invested.

Then like 5 years later I learned there were already 2 more sequels by the time I had read Scorpia and the next one just starts with the narrator going like “lol the bullet missed his heart” confirming that I missed out on literally nothing.

Oh and the main plot of book 6 was that every child in Europe got a vaccine that contained a radio-activated mega cancer.

i thought it was in the school lunches

I liked it bc I imagined alex rider was really hot and i had a crush on him. Also there was a scene where an evil criminal boss was like don’t worry I’ll pay you the full amount… IN CHANGE! And then he killed this dude by suffocated him in a room that filled up with like $100,000 in pennies

Figured tumblr would love this: for anyone who does textile work & wants colorways, well… This is both a black owned small business & she’s doing a massive collection on practically every flag…

while i don’t claim to be a “book blogger” by any account (more of a cranky publishing-person blogger most days), i know a lot of people have followed me through my book posts, so i’m taking advantage of that captive audience to boost these bookstores. shop them through their own websites and if you’re local, look into curbside pickup to minimize shipping costs and overhead. okay that’s all thanks bye stay safe.
