this was my last uber’s profile… my ride with him was insane… there was almost too much content for me to talk about it all but he asked me if i was an artist and i was like haha not really… and he said do you play an instrument and i was like Ha Ha used to play flute…. and he says Oh well i play six instruments and i play them for sick people…. i got musical talent from my uncle and good thing i inherited that from him and not thievery because i’m a great thief haha. anyway i went to the hospital to play instruments for sick people (oh!” i say) but they took me away and took my fingerprints (oh….) and then he started talking bout how the goverment was something or other, i was furiously texting everyone i knew about it, but he was like OH so you do art. do you know how to make a drawing out of letters and i was like Oh ha ha… i know this one… and he’s like hold on i’ll show you and he PULLS OVER!!! i said Uh sorry but i have an appointment to get to and he goes Oh sorry and gets back onto the road… and the. he was talking about how he was “the balloon man” and he gives out his balloons to children in the neighborhood, and he was like “i know that that can be seen as perverted so i always ask the parents first, but one time a parent called me and said “Why are you giving balloons to our son” and you know people these days…” etc and he gave me his “card” which was just his name and number written in pen and as i left he said “please make sure to call me, nobody i give my number to ever calls me”. and thats my story

also he said his nickname was TUB!!! because he , as a child, picked up a foot tub or something. but he said everyone calls him tub

thanks! and sure-

unlike most other insects, praying mantises never go through any kind of pupation or metamorphosis! baby praying mantises wriggle out of their eggs looking pretty much like miniature adults, and set the tone pretty much from day one as they will immediately start cannibalizing each other if there’s no small insects around to eat. mmm, siblicide!

that said though, baby praying mantises often look very different from the adults.

for instance, this is what an adult orchid mantis looks like:

(kind of like a frilly tea set, but one that’s also full of knives)

now here’s the babies:
