a black vulture hanging out with and preening a young crested caracara. this type of sighting may seem surprising, but isn’t unusual. though black vultures are a large bird, they are often tolerant of other scavengers sharing food with them, and can even forge friendships like this one.
Oh and btw it’s owned by “the Society for the Preservation of Near Extinct Species, a self-described secretive group whose goal is to promote of human life extension.” They run “Transtime” which is a cryogenic lab that freezes whole bodies for future reanimation. As of a few years ago, they had four frozen bodies and about 90 living humans on their waiting list.
I’ve been spending more time on fb and i saw this girl i forgot i had a huge crush on in 8th grade she was new and i was her only friend bc she was weird and this guy spread a rumor about her getting period on one of the classroom chairs. But she went to a different high school and i guess got popular because I ran into her at the mall when we were in tenth grade and she pretended not to see me. And i wrote on her fb wall to say hi i saw you at the mall! And she ignored that too. And a few years ago i was working as a recruitment assistant at a really fancy law firm and i saw that the guy who’d spread the rumor about her applied for a job and i told my boss we shouldn’t hire him because i knew him from my youth and he was a big asshole and she was like ok I’ll take him off the list. Anyways this girl was so hot in 8th grade and she’s even hotter now and she’s married to some ugly blonde guy and i hope she remembers me and feels bad like i feel bad about every mean thing I’ve ever done except tell my boss not to hire that guy who’d been a shitty 13 year old bc that was pure karmic justice

I checked in with him a few years later and he had a job emptying the coins out of arcade machines and sent me a poem he wrote about how he wanted to have sex with the arcade machines because they reminded him of his childhood, it was p good
