Do u know a perfume that would make me feel like a witch who lives alone in the forest and is friends with animals. Like she has a garden with nice flowers and magic herbs and vegetables
lombre dans leau by diptyque is a classic it’s from like the 80s but doesn’t smell dated this is like a glamorous green perfume. it’s like the same scent as their very popular baies candle 🕯 when i first got into perfumes i found i gravitated more to scents that triggered memories or smelled more hyper realistic rather than perfume-y and when i smelled this i was taken back to growing tomatoes as a child. that bitter green scent of tomato plants but with the other notes it yes feels glamorous but kind of melancholic as i find many bitter green scents do.. i think this is an incredible option for people who want something summery but can’t with citruses and florals and aquatics and all those typical girlish or sweet summer perfumes.. this leans unisex and smells ancient in a timeless way very poetic..
this cdg perfume radish x vetiver is really good for the people who don’t really like things that smell complex or perfume-y bc it’s very modern and straight forward and smells like u were in the garden playing in the dirt and cutting stems and stuff and then go wash ur hands off with the hose.. and the smell of the dirt and vegetal greenness comes up to ur nose. very realistic and straight forward
this is the last green one and it slays bc it’s so affordable and gets u the same bitter green if u wanna try it for cheap. it’s a green chypre and the whole thing that makes a chypre a chypre is a specific note structure that is meant to synthesize the smell of the forest and the moss and the dirt and the trees and the plants etc. this smells like ur on the edge of a clearing at the forests edge and it’s overcast and windy and ur a witch taking in the elements. very refreshing in a bitter green way
next i thought patchouli obvi so if u at all like patchouli i think tempo would give an incredible nice forest witch vibe it’s a patchouli i find very easy to wear it doesn’t go too far in the dirt it’s nice and balanced
then this one is a whole other vibe it’s much more mystical magical it smells like yes meeting a mystical woodland creature at golden hour in the autumn and the creature gives off this otherworldly intoxicating scent of like some golden honeyed herb that doesn’t exist in our realm.. smells like a very ancient apothecary tonic or something like yes like the stuff diptyque and santa maria novella put out thats like “based on a 1403 tonic to ward against evil spirits and smallpox”
then i had fun and chose some for her daughter
if her daughter was a monster high doll she could wear this .. this gives me big fairy fashion tumblr girl energy it’s violet leaf which the best comparison i can give to what that smells like is the most beauotful juicy japanese airbrush illustration of a green melon. like but much better smelling than a melon but that kind of scent profile. so she’s a fairy that smells like that and she’s wearing her little leather bustier and her tiered pleated bark and tobacco blossom skirt and her platforms idk where she got those but she’s slaying she’s a lolita lempicka girl.
if she’s a baddie lol surprise doll she can wear this it’s like grass mixed with melted vanilla ice cream it’s my least fave of the muglers but i know it’s very popular rn the girls love it
